Group of BP delegates visited Umid 1 platform
At the invitation of SOCAR Vice President of Field Development Yashar Latifov, with the participation of SOCAR AQS, a team led by BP Vice president wells, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey (AGT) region Jim O'Leary and Vice president projects, AGT region, Russia, Egypt and Oman Cathal Kelly visited the Umid 1 platform operated by Umid Babek Operating Company.
During the visit, the guests walked along the platform and got acquainted with drilling office and Central Control Room, production acceleration facility, well bay, rig floor, automated firefighting station, utility and drilling facility.
While visiting the rig floor, SOCAR AQS General Director Samir Mollayev presented the work performed by the company to date and achievements in the delivery of wells on the Umid 1 platform.
The visitor group highly appreciated the work of the offshore drilling crew and emphasized the importance of HSE.
